SENSORIS participated to the ITS European Congresses in Strasbourg in the Special Interested Session SIS44 – “Challenges on the data chain to serve automated driving”. Many initiatives/groups in Europe and in the world are rapidly developing automated vehicle technologies involving data from different sources (digital map, sensors, traffic information, traffic management information, etc.), but there is a need for coherency and for a careful look at the whole data chain that will enable automated driving. This session focused on presenting an overview of the different element of this data chain.
The challenge of this data chain for automated driving, its consistency and the way forward was discussed by international experts, beside SENSORIS chairman Prokop Jehlicka other organisations were invited ADASIS, NDS, TM2.0, TISA, and TN-ITS.
